Bargain Shopping

I can't tell you how good it feels to have a sold out item suddenly show up as in stock on my Anthropologie wish list. It makes me feel like I am somehow cheating the system and finding a secret prize hidden just for me. Today I managed to score the Pondside Cardi in blue that I missed out on during its second markdown to $29.95 (originally $118.00). Yipeee!

Anthropologie may have some ridiculous prices but they are really good about marking things down 50% when they go on sale, and even further if the item sticks around past the first markdown. The only problem with their sale prices is that it makes me feel like I am required to buy things because otherwise I am missing out on such a great deal. There is also a "rush" I get from scoring something awesome at a huge discount or by finding something that was previously out of stock. Hmmm.. maybe there is more to this addiction than I'm acknowledging.

I know how you feel about the sales. I love love love seeing something pop back up in my wishlist but there are also items that I missed out on and don't think are ever coming back.
*Sigh* I always just think that the super-sale items I score make up for what I didn't get. Sometimes, too, though, when you know you love something so much, you just have to go for it...well, that's what I have to tell myself to justify everything I buy!

So it was you! I just missed the blue Pondside popback in L so I had to comfort myself with the pink colorway. The rani tieback popped back in L too so I was forced to order it as well for that amazing 70% off rush. Keeping my fingers crossed that the dress fits my D cups. Also keepings all fingers and toes crossed that the Apple Picking cardi magically finds its way back to my cart...

Eeek sorry CheesyGoodness! Someone snatched the last Painted Porcelain Tee in size L out from under my shopping cart last night at 2:00 AM right when it went on sale. It was the only I really had my eye on and was only $29. Oh well, I'm actually kind of glad to have not bought anything this sale cycle. That Rani Tieback is gorgeous - I hope it fits you too!!
